3 things - Monday @ 9:21 PM
1. We have dear friends Betty and Charles - she's 77, he's 87 - retired unity ministers. They are lights in our life! I had a wonderful and thought provoking conversation today with Betty about Christianity with some distinctions. She reminded me (and I remembered) how precious it is to be understood and to have someone to talk to about issues of the soul.
2. Got our yard completely cleaned up today after the ravages of the ice storm a month ago. It's all ready now for the approaching Spring, some gardening and one step closer to getting the house on the market.
3. We have been challenging ourselves to eat at home more and not waste food. I cooked a great dinner tonight - used leftovers - and froze some things for future meals at home.
Melanie, thanks again for letting me use this venue for my 3 things. This process is making me think a blog could be fun - just for me. I think I'm tricking myself into keeping a journal - something I've never enjoyed.

It was a great March day today - warm, windy, cloudy, rainy and, in the end, sunny. We did seize the chance to take a long walk in the middle of it all before the rain - that was a good thing! It was also good that the weather afforded me the chance to straighten up the yard and make a minor (but important) repair all in the name of "curb appeal". That's two! Tonight, being the old softy that I am, I shed tears as I watched a John Denver tribute and experienced once again the love and depth of feeling he so beautifully communicated through his songs. I remembered the time I stood next to him and marveled at how "larger than life" he was. Memories are good - especially when they touch the wellspring of love within. I could go on and on but that's three! Time to take out the trash! Good night!

Thanks so much for that comtemplation on "should". I've been thinking all day that since I went to bed last night without logging my 3 things - I SHOULD log them today to make up for it. Yes, I'm the one that, the day before, said I didn't want to go to bed without sharing my 3 things. Well today is almost over and I've not stopped to sit down and do it and THAT'S OKAY. I've not lost enthusiasm for this exercise one bit. In fact, I had lots of good things yesterday and today up to this moment. I've just been inspired to not be enslaved by "should", go about the rest of this day as usual and share my 3 things later. I am focused on the good things and that's what's most important. After all, "it's all good", right?
