Jeff, I'm glad to hear that you are working on the "Big One." Your work benefits so many people and this just widens the circle. In my experience, the more I move away from the identification with my ego / small self and shift my identification to my true self, the happier, more fulfilled and peaceful I feel. And, I see the same thing happen over and over with clients. And, I experience the adventure of life free of resistance to turbulence. Turbulence happens, I just don't have to stay stuck in it.

And, regarding the other comment "child of GOD." Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I love how you describe having your SELF with you and the connections you got...awareness, responsibility and Presence. Some people resist "responsibility." From my perspective to take full responsibility is liberating!

Thanks Melanie for a great essay. Just today I was writing in my journal about taking responsibility for myself and your story has inspired me and given me direction. Recently I have been aware of my SELF and have practiced breathing and having my SELF with me at all times, in my awareness through out my day. Connecting this awareness, taking responsibility, and realizing the Presence all around me is such a powerful combination. Thank you!

Melanie,
I spent the morning writing for my next book (the one I call 'The big one'). I was writing about what the revolution that I advocate among leadership - which ended thus: "The Revolution I advocate begins in the heart and mind of the individual leader. I welcome you to this Revolution. The 21st Century belongs to the aware, focused, loving leader. The impact of your leadership is intended for the benefit of all."

I found great support and encouragement in your post - as much of my message in this book is about 'experience' and a dedication to the 'true self' - as I continue to dedicate myself to my part in changing the work in our society through the impact of the leader.

Thanks again,
Jeff
