Thank your for your kind words Denise. I, too, love the word transcend ... the whole idea of ending the trance of duality seems more attainable with PEAT Process (Prime Energy Activation & Transcendence). This is the work that I'm teaching in the Off The Mat Yoga Coaches Training. It's really quite profound.

And, I appreciate you and our friendship --- more than you know.

Melanie, THANK YOU for writing this piece! The sentences..."I believe that whatever challenges you and I face, those challenges are not bigger than us. I believe that within each of us is strength and courage to face and transcend our limiting beliefs that shroud our very Essence," is what I needed to hear today. It is so interesting b/c "Transcend" is my word for this year that I have chosen to guide me as well. I can't wait to hear more about what you are creating. Thank you for speaking through your writing to "essence!" I appreciate your soulful nature!

Melanie, mostly due to my post mid-life status, I'm on a mission to simplify. Your post perfectly speaks to the root of this goal. It is more spiritual than material. But releasing myself from the material frees me to give my energy to the deepest desires of my heart ... my being. Thank you for this post.

Jeff, I remember when I first heard the phrases, "power through" and "power to..." Powerful stuff, eh? What's the link to your Business Journal? And, thanks for reading!

Pam, ahhhhhhh.

'Imagine the possibilities of fully standing in your point of view while respecting another person’s point of view..."

It feels like standing in the middle of a kaleidoscope that is turning all around me. Beautiful lights.

Love this post Melanie. Just today I wrote in my Business Journal based on something David Whyte said in "The Heart Aroused" - that we sometimes get caught up in seeking power 'over' life rather than seeking power 'through' the experience of life. Thanks for making this point in your great way.

Pam, that's just beautiful. It speaks to the tender and precious moments that make up life --- that understanding that in a single moment we can experience the pure essence of Life. Thank you.

Dorothy dear, each year I think of you at this time. How could I not? Thank you for sharing the story of the young woman who just wanted to come home. How true, yes? I am remembering and loving you from here.

Karunaji, what a story. I love the image of the larvae pulsing as one --- seeming so individual and chaotic and One all a the same time. Thank you for reading and for sharing your story.

My experience as a mom at home alone that beautiful brilliant fall morning was kind of like yours. I found out on the phone. I had called my friend Enid just to say hi. She told me.

While we were talking, I walked to the back window of my kitchen. I looked at a young oak tree that I had never seen before. It had been a neglected weed, and had turned into a tree without me noticing. Its trunk was completely covered with some kind of worms/larvae type creatures. I was practically in shock, taking in the information on the phone. "All those souls!" my friend said, when the towers began collapsing. As soon as she said that, I saw these larvae on this oak tree. The larvae pulsed as one. Over and over, but not rhythmically. Like they were one consciousness, "it" pulsed rather spastically. It was like the thousands in the tower who were all dying together were one being, feeling the pain and wrenching of such a sudden departure.

It was soooo weird! As if the news wasn't completely life-altering itself, on top of that you add an infestation of treeworms dramatizing the departure of thousands of souls outside your back window.

I'll type another memory another time. Melanie, your writing is great here. And I love the opportunity to write my memories and read others.

Love,
Karunaji
